In Citrus Heights, the busiest hours are Friday and Saturday evenings and any night with a big game, when quoted delivery times can stretch past an hour; ordering before 5 p.m. or picking up yourself avoids the wait. Delivery radiuses are small, often two to five miles, and a minimum order plus a delivery fee is normal, with a tip of a few dollars for the driver on top. Lunch specials such as two slices and a drink, or a personal pie, are the cheapest way to eat at most shops across California on weekdays. Toppings are priced per item and half-and-half pies are usually free to request. Gluten-free crusts and vegan cheese are increasingly common but often cost a few dollars extra, and cross-contact in a shared oven is standard unless the shop says otherwise.

Citrus Heights is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Citrus Heights follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Benji’s Woodfire Pizza is absolutely out-of-this-world good! 🍕🔥 I drove about 30 minutes to finally try this place, and it was 100% worth the drive. Benji’s had been on my list for a while, and I’m so glad I finally made it out. The dough is incredible—perfectly cooked with an amazing texture and flavor. The sauces and cheeses are seriously next-level, and you can tell they put a lot of care into the ingredients and preparation. This is the kind of pizza that makes you stop after the first bite and say, “Wow.” Everything just works together. Definitely one of the best pizzas I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend giving Benji’s a try!

We tried this pizza for the first time during the 4th of July event in El Dorado Hills@Town Center. They had a food tent out there so we decided to give em a try. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! I wish I would’ve taken a picture of the pizza, I just didn’t think about it. We were starving and at first bite we were in love and ate the whole thing up in minutes! The pizza I ordered, I can’t remember exactly what it’s called though, I can tell you that it was like a honey, hot pizza, I think it had feta cheese, salami… My husband gave me a strange look, so I asked the sweet girl that was up front and she said it was their best so I told my husband I was getting it. After we ate, I walked back to their tent to tell them that it was some of the best pizza I’ve ever had and that I would write them this review. So glad we found Benji’s! We will definitely be visiting again soon! Also, they are really friendly people and we love to support kind local families. I highly recommend you try this place! Thank you!💗

This place is super amazing, you'd be hard pressed to find a better pizza without going to the east coast. The wings are also exceptional and perfectly crispy. 10/10

We went here after reading the reviews, and it did not disappoint! We each got a 12” pizza — one Margherita and one with the hot honey and burrata — both were delicious. We sat near the kitchen to see the beautiful pizza oven and chatted with the guys making them, who make the dough from scratch. I think they were ready in 5 minutes! Sooo tasty. We have a new pizza place, so close to Carmichael!

🔥 Simply spectacular 🔥 This pizza is a true work of art. The dough is perfectly fermented, soft and airy inside, with a crispy, lightly charred crust that shows flawless baking. The cheese melts beautifully and is perfectly balanced, never overpowering, allowing every element to shine. Each bite is an explosion of flavor, quality, and passion for great pizza. Without a doubt, one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had: authentic, delicious, and made with real care. Highly recommended — I’d come back again and again. 🍕🔥
